How to Recharge in Whistler This June

The Nourish Whistler Wellness Series returns all month long, with over 100 restorative offerings—from yoga and breathwork to holistic culinary experiences

June is one of the best times to book a Whistler getaway.

This time of year offers mild, often sunny weather accompanied by the light breeze of early summer before temperatures get too hot. In June, visitors can focus on disconnecting to reconnect in the backdrop of Whistler’s peaceful mountainscape. And there’s no better opportunity to embrace one of B.C.’s most naturally re-energizing environments than the Nourish Whistler Wellness Series.

Wellness, Your Way

A month-long celebration of well-being rooted in Whistler’s mountains and forests, the Nourish Whistler Wellness Series creates space for visitors to explore what wellness means to them, whether that’s movement, mindfulness, food or connection.

The opportunities to find wellness in Whistler are almost endless. Spend the morning at the Wellness Brunch Series and stroll around Alta Lake post-meal. Visit Scandinave Spa in the afternoon before a nourishing dinner at one of the Village’s many restaurants. End the restorative day on a guided stargazing hike to the new Lookout on Blackcomb Mountain, finding peace with the stars while taking advantage of indoor comfort.

With over 100 events across multiple weekends and weekdays in June, the Nourish Whistler Wellness Series lets you build your own personalized retreat to relax and rejuvenate your way. Here are some upcoming highlights from the series we’re excited for:

1. Meaningful Movement Sessions

Reconnect in nature with restorative experiences for any type of movement. Practice mindfulness with Tai Chi led by Master Sun Ying, Hatha yoga in the alpine dome with Heidi Whent or a spiritual movement class with renowned practitioner, Seane Corn. Feel reinvigorated at a women’s mountain biking clinic or a strength class, or enjoy a host of nature-based experiences like forest bathing, breathwork, sound baths and cold plunge sessions. It’s all designed to help you reflect, reset and regulate your nervous system.

2. Conscious Culinary Experiences

Good food also feeds the soul, and the Nourish Whistler Wellness Series is serving up plenty of lakeside culinary events. Take in the morning air during the Wellness Brunch Series, a multi-course brunch hosted by acclaimed chefs like Chef Alana Maas set on the shores of Alta Lake. Reserve a seat at the Grillin’ & Chillin’ BBQ Series, an intimate four-course dinner where equally renowned guest chefs like Chef Bruce Worden showcase seasonal ingredients, live-fire cooking and interactive culinary storytelling.

3. Nourish the Mind

Reconnect with your inner creative joy and learn something new in hands-on workshops and masterclasses. These expert-led sessions cover diverse perspectives and practices, including speaker series talks on topics like neuroscience-based wellness with Catherine Roscoe Barr or fermentation workshops led by Astrid Cameron Kent.

Everything is hosted in inspiring venues, such as the Audain Art Museum, the Station House on Alta Lake or the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, as well as pop-up locations like the new Lookout on Blackcomb Mountain or the Dome on the deck of the Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler Mountain. A Mid-Year Retreat

At the halfway point of the year, June is the perfect time to escape the everyday and get out in nature. Whistler offers scenic hiking, biking and paddleboarding activities to breathe in the fresh air. Unwind at one of the many local spas or browse locally made goods from artisans and makers at the Sunday Farmers’ Market.

One of the most underrated parts of Whistler? It’s walkability. Shops, art galleries and excellent restaurants are all easily accessible with Whistler’s unique pedestrian Village. Accommodations are just steps away from the mountain. Plus, guests who stay more than three nights in June receive $100 toward their Nourish ticket purchase.
