Their Mother’s Day features are available from Friday, May 8 to Monday, May 11. Alongside the curated coffee, tea and matcha menu, the stand-out dish just for Mom is a bulgogi benny topped with gochujang hollandaise. Loam doesn’t take reservations for weekends, so be sure to get to this North Shore brunch spot early, as it’s first-come-first serve this Mother’s Day.

For moms who love a well-thought-out meal made with seasonal ingredients, reserve the Mother’s Day lunch set for two at House of Dawn Steakhouse in Richmond. The special lunch set ($138) includes dishes such as a seabass finished with bright yuzu beurre blanc, a prime striploin steak with creamy American-style scrambled eggs, a seafood toast topped with jumbo black tiger prawn, bay scallop and shimeji mushrooms, alongside two glasses of House of Dawn sangria. If you choose to treat Mom to an elegant dinner instead, the restaurant is still offering the seabass for $58 and is doing a table-side sangria service for $16.

For $95 per person, and $35 for kids 12 and under, tuck into an expansive buffet. The array of dishes includes a chilled seafood and oyster bar, sushi, salads, live carving stations with Canadian prime striploin and cedar plank salmon, made-to-order omelettes, hot dishes like paella, mushroom ravioli, braised short rib gnocchi and classic brunch favourites.
