Complete with a small kitchen featuring the essentials (mini-fridge, electric kettle, pour-over coffee, toaster oven and two-burner electric hot plate) as well as complimentary coffee, eggs and granola on arrival, you’ll also enjoy the comfort of the heated concrete floor, offering a cozy space in the winter and coolness in the summer. With acres of apple and pear orchards to explore, you can relax amongst nature and be sure to take full advantage wood-burning barrel sauna, which is available for complimentary use.

Activities in the area: The Salty Pear is located just a 10-minute walk from Ganges, the largest village on Salt Spring Island. In town, you’ll find a number of great restaurants and seasonal markets packed with local artisans and fresh food; an abundance of art galleries; a pub; as well as shops to explore. And if you’ve arrived by car, there’s so much to do and see on this small but adventure-filled island. Explore local wineries and breweries; make sure to stop by Salt Spring Island Cheese, which specializes in hand-packaged artisan goat’s cheeses; and visit the Sacred Mountain Lavender Farm to see the fields of breathtaking lavender in full bloom. And if you’re looking for more nature, the property borders the beautiful forest trails of Mouat’s Park.
