Make a leaf wreath

Maureen Sullivan, owner of Thomas Hobbs Florist, bundled five or six leaves together before tying them securely to the wire frame.

Don’t skimp on the leaves – this project uses many hundreds – as the time and effort are repaid with a simple yet memorable marker of the season.
This wreath was made with purchased leaves, but collecting leaves – not necessarily oak – and preparing them for a similar project is a fun activity for the children in the family.

With no scissors necessary (cut lengths of string for tying beforehand) this activity provides an opportunity for children to get involved and make a big contribution to the home’s festive décor.
