Freshen Up Fall With a Floral Workshop

Floral design workshops are quickly becoming a popular way to express your creative side

A number of locally based florists offer the chance to study and celebrate the art of floral design. Shops supply you with all the materials—and often a few fun extras—to make a stunning take-home creation.

Here are five of the most promising opportunities to learn in the city happening this fall…

1. Kokedama Workshop with Forage and Bloom – Saturday, October 14

If you love living plants, try this workshop that focuses on kokedama, the Japanese craft of plant sculpture. Oak and Fort Home has teamed up with Forage and Bloom to lead an event during where participants will create two works inside ceramic bowls.

2. Fall Florals with Nicola Adam – Sunday, October 15 and Sunday, October 22

3. Wine and Wreath Workshop with Celsia – Sunday, October 22

5. Ethical and Fair Trade Rose Bouquet with Studio Full Bloom – Sunday, November 12
