Build a Boat at the Kitsilano Farmers Market this Father’s Day

These cute and popular boats have graced Etsy treasuries, made their way to shops around Canada and Australia, and will soon be available in New York!

All the supplies needed to build these sweet little wooden sail boats will be on hand June 19 at the Kitsilano Farmers Market. So grab a grown up, build a boat, and spend the day sailing.

Created by Vancouver crafty lady Amanda Wood, these boats are handmade in Canada with local clear spruce. About her products Wood says, “I am a stay-at-home mom who loves to empower children to explore their creativity. I like to give children opportunities to work with professional and natural materials as much as possible, including wood, cotton, linen, and wool.”

Owl and Pussycat is meant to embody the journey towards creativity that we share with our children. Everything is unique and made by hand. “Many of the designs were tested by my children and their friends,” adds Wood.
