Take in traditions from across the pond with live music and entertainment at CelticFest Vancouver (now until March 18th at various venues) where you can catch performers like Delhi 2 Dublin (pictured) and The Paperboys. Put an Irish jig in your step and kick-start the weekend celebrations with the annual BMO St. Patrick’s Day 5K through Stanley Park. With all proceeds going towards the Canadian Diabetes Society, it doesn’t matter whether you walk, run or riverdance across the finish line. Just dress in your finest green gear and enjoy the beautiful scenery while helping raise awareness for a good cause. If that’s not enough to tempt you, then maybe the post-race party hosted by Granville Island Brewing will.
