Vancouver's sixth annual Dîner en Blanc hosted 5,500 guests in two locations
On Thursday, August 24th, the city’s most elegant al fresco dining experience took place in not one, but two locations in Coal Harbour—Devonian Harbour Park and Harbour Green Park. This year, organizers wanted to go back to the event’s “grass”roots after the concrete locations of Concord Pacific Plaza in 2016 and Canada Place in 2015.
Produced locally by event agency The Social Concierge, the communal dining experience brings the French tradition, which originated in Paris in 1988, to Vancouver each summer. Diners bring their own tables, chairs and food to indulge in a spectacular evening at a location that’s announced just hours before the event starts. The dinner kicks off with the waving of the napkins and closes with sparklers lighting up the night sky to music.
