2. Love Lights – Friday, January 31st to Sunday, February 23
North Vancouver

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Celebrate love among the twinkling lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. The 450-foot suspension bridge at the park is lit up in a warm pink hue, with romantic decor throughout the venue. Enjoy heartwarming light displays throughout the forest, setting the scene for a sweet stroll. You can snap a photo under the K.I.S.S.I.N.G tree or in front of the “LOVE” marquee. 3. I Saw You – Every Wednesday, February 12 to February 26

4. Year of the Snake at Metropolis at Metrotown – Until Sunday, February 16

In case you didn’t know, love month this year overlaps with Lunar New Year. This calls for double the celebration! Metropolis at Metrotown has released an array of family-friendly events to ring in the Year of the Snake. Festivities for this occasion span two weeks, and feature a grand lion dance, chef demonstrations and cultural workshops like lantern cutting. The Chinese Canadian Museum is contributing to Metrotown’s Lunar New Year celebrations with their offerings of free educational workshops. This includes an abacus-learning station, family tree colouring sheets and a station to practice Chinese phrases. Be sure to check online for exact dates of workshops and shows.

5. Early Music Vancouver (EMV): Bach Ties the Knot – Saturday, February 15

Enjoy an afternoon immersed in romantic tunes featuring J.S. Bach’s wedding-related works. This concert is a part of Early Music Vancouver’s 2025 Lumen Festival, and features renowned German soprano Dorothee Mields. 7. Music on Main: BIG BANG Festival – Sunday, February 16

This interactive music festival is tailored towards young audiences, giving them an opportunity to experiment with different types of music. The highlight of this event is the “Musical Journey”–a collection of three music rooms, each highlighting a different culture and set of sounds. Youngsters can explore music by Belgian vocalist Naomi Beeldens, a immersive soundscape by Vancouver’s virtuoso santour player Saina Khaledi and the Qing Ensemble’s imitation of a storm using traditional Chinese instruments. Other free family-friendly activities include an interactive light and colour exhibit and a music bouncy castle.

8. Ex Animo: From the Heart – Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15

Ballet Kelowna’s winter production features three of the company’s most esteemed choreographers: Cameron sinkʷə Fraser-Monroe, Alysa Pires and Robert Stephen.
