Check out the best American vacation spots for boys who just wanna have fun?
What happens in Vegas… the top U.S. getaway for guys
And there are plenty of vacations tailored specifically for the male crowd. Trust me, there are no spa retreats or shopping trips on this list.
Whether you’re a man looking to get away with the boys or a woman looking to get her guy out of the house, here are some options you might want to consider just south of the border. Think hot spots, nightlife — oh, and sports, of course.
Top Vacation Spots for Men
Las Vegas: It’s at the top of the list for obvious reasons. This notorious party city is also fun for the ladies, but men tend to make this a choice destination for bachelor parties, birthdays or just a weekend of fun. The boys definitely enjoy the gambling, food and nightlife. Racing fans can also satisfy their need for speed with a trip to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
New York City: Restaurants in New York are some of the best in the world. You can eat at world-class steakhouses or dine in famous delis for a true New York experience. Don’t forget to check out a Mets or Yankees game — New Yorkers take their baseball very seriously, and the people watching in the stadium can be more entertaining than the game. At night, hit the clubs or bars and basically party it up in the city that never sleeps.
Miami: This is where to see and be seen. South Beach offers up some of the most trendy and uniquely innovative nightlife. You can follow things up with a trip to Everglades National Park, where you can get up close and personal with alligators, manatees and other wildlife.
Denver: It’s not a location that’s generally on the vacation radar, but I have to tell you that it’s the perfect place for a guys’ getaway. You’ve got the slopes of nearby Vail, caving excursions in the Rockies, and for beer drinkers, it’s worth checking out the Great American Beer Fest in September.
Louisville: Here’s another city I bet you’ve never considered. With year-round horse races at Churchill Downs and a vast array of music festivals, Louisville, Kentucky, has a lot to offer. For a little taste of history, try a two-day ride along the historic Kentucky Bourbon Trail, where you’ll get to sample and tour six historic bourbon distilleries.
Milwaukee: Finally, if motorcycles and brew are your thing, how about Milwaukee, Wisconsin? It’s famous for its bratwurst, breweries and major league baseball — and it’s also home to the Harley-Davidson Museum. Definitely a man’s paradise!
So there you go. Just a few manly destinations to get you started on planning that “mancation.”
