This Airbnb offers cozy vibes and a gorgeous outdoor shower
The details: $119 per night plus fees; sleeps three
The amenities:
This cozy cabin offers an opportunity for visitors to truly unplug and appreciate nature. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing river view instead of wifi access (don’t worry, you will still have cell service in the area). Relaxing among towering trees, visitors will feel fully immersed in B.C.’s west coast wilderness.
This cabin is one of three in the area (it’s closest to the parking lot and firewood shed). Guests can purchase firewood and use the private outdoor fire pit area to start a warm fire and roast marshmallows.
For those looking to immerse themselves in a truly rustic lodging experience, there is a beautiful private outdoor shower available. Imagine taking a refreshing, cold outdoor shower on a hot summer day (only a few months to go)!
Head inside the cabin to find a charming space equipped with everything you’ll need for a local escape. Once indoors, the first thing you’ll notice is likely the tall ceilings that make the cabin feel open and airy. The wood panels that run the length of the walls add warmth and make the indoors feel at one with the outdoors.
The space has a loft-style bedroom, with a ladder mounted near the entrance of the cabin for easy access. The main sleeping area has expansive windows to give you the best views of the trees outside. The ceiling here is low and on a slant, so be sure to watch your head when you lay down. There is also a sofa bed in the living space, so this cabin can comfortably sleep three people.
In the kitchenette, visitors will find a one-element hot plate for simple cooking, and plenty of dishes for sharing meals. There’s a French press coffee machine available, so guests can enjoy a hot cup of morning coffee in the cozy fireplace nook as they admire the nature outside.
Please note: no children under 12 years old or furry friends allowed!
It’s most convenient to access this area by car. With that being said, there are local beaches nearby that are within walking distance. Jordan River Beach, Sandcut Beach and China Beach are only a few minutes’ drive away from the cabin.
