Visit this top-ranking stay and experience “glamping” like never before. The Cougar Dome is located right by the outskirts of the forest, and is a part of the Windermere Resort. This stay is one out of three domes in the area, so visitors can enjoy privacy without being absolutely isolated.

Since this dome is cougar-themed, be prepared for all things feline. From cougar wall decor to sculptures throughout the space, this unique element adds interest to your stay—it’s definitely a plus if you love big cats.

As you head inside the dome, you’ll be welcomed by luxurious blue velvet furniture with gold accents and faux fur touches throughout the space. This interior screams bougie.

The main living space houses one king-sized bed, a kitchenette, large bathroom, fireplace and lounge area. Head upstairs to find two twin beds in the cozy loft. The kitchenette also has everything you need to cook a simple meal—pots and pans and basic condiments, as well as dishes and silverware.

Although this stay doesn’t offer a TV, there is still plenty of entertainment around the resort. If you’re blessed with a sunny day, head outside on the deck to cook up a storm on the BBQ grill, or stargaze on the daybed. Prefer to stay indoors? No problem: cozy up by the fireplace and enjoy a game of Monopoly with your loved ones.

Fairy lights along one side of the dome add to the magical atmosphere. During the holiday season, there are also light-up Christmas trees out on the deck. Sip your hot cocoa at night as you gaze out at the twinkling lights and snowy lands.
