Q: Regarding salmonberries, we have tried a wild plant and a nursery-grown plant. Both produce flowers that stay for a few days then drop off. No fruit is ever produced. What should we do?
I would suspect this is probably due to a lack of pollinators and other salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis) plants. Plant additional salmonberry bushes or other spring plants and try setting up a mason (orchard) bee house.
