Deals abound at the 2026 Dine Out Vancouver Festival. Here are the cream of the crop

To be fair, all menus for the Dine Out Vancouver Festival (on now until February 8) are a deal. But with 400-plus restaurants participating, choosing which restaurants to try can be overwhelming. We’ve sifted and sorted through the bunch to find some of the best deals out there. But take note: this isn’t a list of the cheapest. Instead, you’ll find a lot of food for less money (all things being relative) alongside top-notch restaurants offering their award-winning fare for a discount.

1. The Acorn

This veggie-forward restaurant is Michelin Guide-recommended and offers seven courses plus sourdough bread for $70. Considering that each course is about $10 (basic food math), upscale dishes like confit celeriac with smoked mushroom lardons make this an appetizing entry.

3. Alimentaria Mexicana

This popular spot on Granville Island serves up four delectable courses for only $39. Soups (tortilla or poblano and corn), tostadas and enchiladas (or flauta) are all followed up by—what else?—churros.

4. Afghan Horsemen

Bring a friend! This Dine Out menu follows the standard three courses (appy, main, dessert), except in this case the entree is a platter of eight dishes that includes lamb shank and kabuli rice. One platter serves two people (hence the friend), and for $40 per person, it’s one of the best deals going.

5. Banana Leaf Malaysian Cuisine

We love to see it: another eatery offering a plethora of plates served family style. The appetizer features three dishes (including their signature chicken satay), while the main clocks in at four dishes plus jasmine rice. There’s dessert, too. Not too shabby for $40 per person (two people minimum).

6. Bufala

This isn’t your ordinary pizza joint. It’s a from-scratch, Napolitana-style pizzeria, featuring pies crisped up in an 800-degree Fahrenheit oven. Try the pizza or one of their other Italian-inspired dishes on the classic three-course Dine Out menu that’s only $29 per person.

7. Dachi

Dachi

We’ve looked at a lot of Dine Out menus, and any place offering a number of dishes that come in under $10 a pop (broken out evenly) is definitely on this list. This thoughtful, East Vancouver eatery with its five-course, nine-dish tasting menu for just $65 is a solid entry.

8. Fable Diner

Fable Diner

This Main Street institution is known for its brunch, and we love that for Dine Out, the “appetizer” is a choice of beverage—alcoholic or non-alcoholic—or house-made scone. Try the roast duck pancake and thank us later. Just $30 per person.

9. East is East

Put a pin in your New Year’s resolutions. East is East is serving 17 (count ’em!) different dishes, plus soups, salads, mezzes, rice, stuffed roti and naan. To top it all off: their famous chai tea. Still have room? Refills on your favourite dishes are on offer. For just $55 per person, it’s a princely feast for a pauper’s price.

10. Good Thief

The sister restaurant to Anh and Chi is a Michelin-recommended Bib Gourmand (good deal) and Exceptional Cocktails pick. The Dine Out menu offers a family-style six-course menu for $70 that includes dishes like Dungeness crab garlic noodles and spot-prawn ceviche.

11. House of Dosas

The only limit here is time—and belt notches. This East Vancouver institution offers all-you-can-eat with unlimited reorders for $25—with a maximum seating of 90 minutes. That’s plenty of time to enjoy an appetizer, main course and dessert—and as many of them as you like. FYI: mains include curry and biryani, not just dosas.

12. Maenam

This Kitsilano institution is recognized by the Michelin Guide for some of the city’s best Thai food. For Dine Out, sample an array of enticing flavours with their three-course, five-dish menu for $65, which features dishes such as tom yum Humboldt squid or grilled pork jowl salad.

13. Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions

This hotspot in Mount Pleasant shows off its playful side with an all-you-can-eat option featuring the kid’s birthday party menu of your dreams. For $25, chow down on all the hot dogs—regular or veggie—and tater tots you want, as long as it’s within the 90-minute window. Our advice: take no prisoners, but prepare to leave your dignity behind.

14. Published on Main

Published on Main

Stay with me here. The Dine Out menu at Published is at the top end budget-wise, clocking in at $110 per person. But keeping in mind that it’s a Michelin-starred restaurant, and there are a good number of dishes (five courses to be exact), it’s actually excellent value.

15. Pidgin

When you’re looking for a deal, there are no sweeter words than “all menu items included.” In the case of this Michelin-recommended spot, that means eight dishes for $70 that includes delectable sounding items like beef striploin in bulgogi marinade and a mushroom croquette.

16. Paul Bakery, Cafe & Restaurant

At first glance, this menu seems like classic three-course fare—until you spot the price. Options like lobster bisque and steak frites have no business being on a menu that’s only $39. But here we are.

17. Osteria Elio Volpe

Osteria Elio Volpe

Run don’t walk: one of the hottest seats in town is offering a five-course menu for $69 that includes options like slow-cooked duck legs, beef cheeks and a confit-garlic spiked pepperone pizza.

18. Tekkaba

If you know, you know—and probably already have a reservation. And if you don’t: definitely go ahead and put your name on the waitlist. This 12-course omakase menu is only $68, and is so popular that it’s already sold out. But don’t despair. To compensate all the disappointed customers, they’ve extended it until April—but you need to book your table during Dine Out to secure the deal.

19. Song by Kin Kao

Song by Kin Kao

This restaurant is recognized as a Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide, so it follows that their Dine Out would be good value, too. Get their five-course tasting menu for $50 and enjoy Thai dishes such as beef-cheek massaman curry and grilled chicken satay.

20. Six Acres

This classic three-course menu (for $42) gets a lift thanks to a fun drink special: 50 percent off bottles of wine for Dine Out guests during the festival.

Runners Up:

Lucky Taco

If you like Mexican food, the price for a three-course menu is one of the cheapest out there at $28.

The Mackenzie Room

Yes, it’s $70 per person, but consider what a night out at this restaurant is normally. (This deal might be worth it.)

Carlino

At $65, it’s not too shabby a deal when you consider what you get (braised short rib, hand-cut tagliatelle with duck ragù, for instance).

Bar Corso

Six courses for $55 makes this option well worth considering.

Gary’s

With seven dishes for $70, this Michelin Bib Gourmand pick is a pretty good deal.
