Spring has finally arrived, with the sunshine back in town and cherry blossom trees starting to bud. Say goodbye to the dreary winter weather and welcome the new season with some limited edition goodies.

Here are some local spots for you to pick up a sweet treat or Easter meal with your friends and family!

1. Beaucoup Bakery

This local bakery is offering a plethora of Easter-themed treats. Take your pick from specialty chocolates, limited edition croissants and unique cakes. You can order their 12-piece chocolates, featuring two limited edition flavours: strawberry pineapple ganache and chocolate chip cookie infused milk chocolate ganache. They are also offering a ‘cookie croissant’, which has a chocolate chip cookie baked onto a butter croissant, topped with milk chocolate Easter eggs – talk about indulgence! 3. Rocky Mountain Chocolate

Another Canadian chocolatier offering Easter goodies is Rocky Mountain Chocolate. The fan-favourite chocolate maker is offering an assortment of chocolate bombs in the shape of bunnies and chicks. These chocolates have a smooth milk chocolate centre wrapped in decadent caramel. Their fun Easter cake takes on the form of a bunny butt and has cream cheese mousse layers, intertwined with carrot cake and raspberry confit. Wanting something a tad more savoury? 6. Mon Paris Patisserie

This Burnaby bakery is offering a beautiful assortment of chocolate eggs for the Easter season. Choose from their four-inch milk and dark chocolate hand-painted eggs or their eight-inch nuts and dried fruits egg. If you’re looking for a creative centrepiece for Easter brunch, they’ve also created a chocolate helicopter with a cloud backdrop. This piece certainly screams spring!

This feast is only offered on Sunday, March 31, and costs $85 for adults and $35 for children under 12 years old. The menu features a selection of chilled seafood like snow crab legs and jumbo prawns, a prime beef striploin carving station, eggs benedict, and various Easter themed desserts. 9. Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge

This Michelin-recommended restaurant is offering a three-course fixed prix Easter Sunday brunch menu. For your appetizer, pick from poached eggs, a baby shrimp cocktail, or a creamy potato soup. Moving onto mains, you can choose from the likes of a lamb shank ragout, eggs benedict, or french toast. And lastly for dessert, your selection includes carrot cake and a swiss roll. 10. Railtown Catering

For the homebodies, Railtown Catering is offering Easter to-go packages for you to easily whip up in the comfort of your own home. The centerpiece for this multi-course meal is pre-sliced honey-glazed ham. Some fan-favourite sides are included, like scalloped potatoes with gruyère cheese, spiced fluffy hot cross buns with whipped butter and an indulgent rhubarb crumble for dessert.
