Grab your friends, get a drink and wind down after a long work day with these happy hour deals around the city

It’s 5:00 on a workday, your stomach is rumbling and your throat is dry. What’s the solution? Grab some co-workers and head to your local watering hole for cheap eats and drinks.

Whether you’re in the mood for seafood or wings, pitchers of beer or double margaritas, Vancouver has some very wallet-friendly happy hour deals. Click through for some of the happiest deals in town.

Head down to Joe Fortes bar for a happy hour that features dishes like beef carpaccio, truffle parmasean fries, onion rings, calamari, shrimp ceviche and $1 oysters. Oh, and did we mention all items on the bar menu are 50 per cent off?

Browns Social House

If you’re looking for drinks, Browns Social House is the place to go. On top of daily drink specials, they have everyday drink deals like their famous social soda, wine and lager for $4. Peach bellinis go for $5, and horseradish-infused caesars for $6. Want something other than liquid in your stomach? Wings and dry ribs are $6 during happy hour.

Hapa Izakaya

Voted numerous times as one of Vancouver’s top Japanese resturants, Hapa Izakaya features some of its most popular dishes for happy hour.

“Hapa Hour” deals vary by location, with Coal Harbour featuring $4.99 beef tataki and $4 draft beers. The Yaletown location offers $2.99 tropical rolls and $3.99 renkon gyoza tempura. Kitsilano features $4.49 ebi mayo and spicy tuna rolls, and Robson has $4.49 spicy pork ishi-yaki.

Robson and Kitsilano: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. daily

Yaletown: 5 to 6 p.m. daily

Coal Harbour: 3 to 5:30 p.m. daily

The Flying Pig has a smaller sized ” ‘Appy Hour” menu, but the delicious dishes prove that quality trumps quantity. Featuring dishes like shortrib croquettes, truffle mac & cheese, seared chili-rubbed skirt steak, a house salmon sampler, and if you have a hankerin’ for meat, a local artisan cured meat selection! The best part? All dishes go for $6 or less!

Another great place for happy hour seafood deals is Coast. As part of the Glowbal Group family, Coast is not one to disappoint. From 50 per cent off all appetizers to $5 drink specials, Coast is definitely a great place to unwind with friends after work.

Three locations, three great happy hour deals. All three Ebisu locations feature 99 cent royal miyagi oysters, drinks, sushi and tapa specials.

Ebisu on Robson feature 39 cent wings and $3.50 sushi rolls, Richmond features a “sake fest” ($8.99 hot sake), and the Broadway location has 50 per cent off pints of Sapporo.
