Get your berry fix with a fruitful trip to one of these Vancouver U-picks
Berry season is upon us, and there’s nothing that tastes more like summer than a pail of freshly picked berries. Lucky for us, Vancouver is full of farms that offer U-picking so you can select your own berries fresh off the field. Click through for six U-pick farms in the Greater Vancouver area that offer picking plus more.
Emma Lea Farms boasts a long family history of farming, and has been offering U-pick opportunities to locals for over three decades. Strawberries can be picked June 14th – July 10th, blueberries can be picked until late August, and raspberries are ready through July. Not only does Emma Lea offer the standard selection of berries, but it also grows blackberries, boysenberries and, a specialty raspberry/blackberry hybrid, tayberries.
Once you’re all picked out, head to Emma’s Ice Cream Stand to cool down with milkshakes, sundaes and smoothies topped off with – you guessed it – berries! New this year, Emma’s also offer lunch specials on weekends.
