Dancing With the Stars' Maria Menounos and Derek Hough further fueled dating rumours this week, sharing a kiss on the dance floor
Dating rumours continue to swirl after this week’s mid-dance smooch
Maria Menounos and her partner Derek Hough slayed their DWTS week four dance and made the judges stand up and take notice. Not only that, but they kissed mid-dance. It had the ballroom cheering and continued the “are they, aren’t they” debate. Either way, this lady can cut a rug!
We asked Menounos and Hough about that controversial – and hot – moment. Hough says, “Last time I kissed her chin. Last time I failed basically so she gave me a chance to redeem myself.” Oh, he did! Anyone want to turn on the air conditioning?
The judges thought it went too far. Hough says, “No it’s funny because I am actually that guy, I’m the guy where it’s like don’t give it to us, like suggest it and I prefer that. But tonight it was like, it was just fun, we were like let’s just do it. The song was such a big build I’m like we have to do something, we can’t just do a dip, can’t just take the shirt off everybody does that, and she was like what if we just make out? I was like, ‘Uh okay!'”
Menounos had been plagued with injuries, but like we said earlier, the woman is a cylon. She’s not only danced through the pain, but she’s excelled at it. This week, she fell on her chin. Hough says, “That’s what happened. When she fell on her face earlier this week I was, I thought we were done. I thought she broke her nose, her teeth are on the floor, her ribs are all broken, she can’t breath and then luckily she was like oh, I’m okay.”
Menounos says, “I’m Greek!” We need to drink the waters of the golden isles if it’s going to give us the butt-kicking stamina that she’s showing us!
Menounos took Hough to a really interesting therapy called Cryogenics. She says, “I think it airs on Extra tomorrow night. I have a friend who kind of put me on a good plan this past weekend, it’s been an amazing journey. It’s been an amazing turnaround between lasers, Cryo, Boris the masseuse, bone stimulators, everything and so it’s amazing.”
Hough says, “But what’s incredible is that her recovery is insane, insane. The doctor, last week, they didn’t show on camera because she didn’t want him to say it but the doctor pretty much told her you should bounce out because you can’t be doing this. And she was like no I’m not going to do it and she told me the other day she said, ‘Derek what if I had listened to him and I’m getting better?’ That’s a scary thought but now I’m so grateful to be here and not take it for granted.”
Whatever she’s doing is working. Tune in on April 17 for the results show. We have a feeling she’s safe, but vote anyway!
