Catch the Evaporators at Neptoon Records on Tuesday, June 23 at 4 p.m.
I just came back from shooting a super-fun interview between our Art Darts blogger Rob McMahon and the ever-awesome, genuinely nice dude Nardwuar the Human Serviette, a local musicologist of sorts, longtime CiTR radio dj, MuchMusic correspondent and frontman for the band The Evaporators.
Vancouver band The Evaporators.
If you haven’t seen or heard his (extensive, incredibly impressive) body of work, please check it out. This man is an over-flowing fount of musical knowledge—he’s often referred to as a human encyclopedia of punk and indie music—and his subjects range from the obscure to the pop mega-god. His Snoop (as in Dogg) interviews are famous, and his older grunge band coverage fascinating (like this one of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love from 1994).
I’m working on the video now but just wanted to get a plug up for The Evaporators’ upcoming show at Neptoon Records on Tuesday, June 23 at 4 p.m., with special appearance by Andrew W.K., to celebrate the release of their new 7″ “A Wild Pear“. The show is all ages—bonus!—and is sure to be a good time.
Stay tuned for Rob’s interview and video of Nardwuar’s—let me get this right—”Basket of Punk Rock Tidbits from the Pacific Northwest”… Coming soon!
