Experience: Explore the world of unique animals at The Kangaroo Creek Farm
Location: 5932 Old Vernon Road, Kelowna
Cost: Entry fee from $10 + GST
How to get there: Four hours and 30 minutes by car from Vancouver—view route here.
Bucket list factor: Save yourself the trouble of international travel and visit some of the world’s cutest critters right here in our own backyard. Kelowna’s Kangaroo Creek Farm features kangaroos, of course, as well as other wild animals like wallabies and capybaras (a giant rodent from South America that’s recently become Internet famous). You an also check out emus, peacocks, parrots, potbellied pigs and more. Guests are able to walk around with the red kangaroos and pet and feed the animals (treats provided free of charge) under the supervision of the guides. The staff is also available to answer questions about the animals, making your experience as educational as you choose. If you visit during the high season, additional activities like face-painting is available for the little ones.
