Experience: Explore the beach and water activities at Tribune Bay Park
Location: St. Johns Point Road, Hornby Island
How to get there: Four hours and 45 minutes from Vancouver; View route here
Bucket list factor: If you’re looking for a slice of paradise without leaving the province this summer, this spot off Hornby Island is the prime location. Nicknamed B.C.’s very own ‘Little Hawaii’, Tribune Bay boasts a crescent-shaped beach with white sand and clear blue water. Besides tanning and shoreside activities, you can enjoy water sports like swimming and canoeing. If you’re looking to do some hiking, there is also a trail that runs parallel to the beach for about 0.75 km.
