Survivor: Philippines (New Season) 8 p.m., Global & CBSJeff Probst returns to the jungle with this latest instalment of the long-running reality hit. This time out, the contestants include a trio of former participants who were forced to leave the game for medical reasons (Michael Skupin, Russell Swan and Jonathan Penner) as well as a familiar face to anyone who watched TV in the ’80s: Lisa Whelchel, who played wealthy Blair Warner on the hit sitcom The Facts of Life.
Perception 6 p.m., 11 p.m. & 1 a.m., Bravo When a long-dormant serial killer starts murdering people once again, Pierce (Eric McCormack) and Moretti (Rachael Leigh Cook) take on the case. To gain a better understanding of the killer, they seek the help of Moretti’s father, who was the lead investigator on the original case back in 1986.
Royal Pains 7 p.m. & 10 p.m., Showcase In a role far removed from “The Fonz,” Henry Winkler returns as Eddie, father of Hank and Evan, who shows up with the hopes of patching things up between the squabbling siblings. Meanwhile in another family affair, Divya’s mother shows up to try and reconcile with her daughter.
Dragons’ Den (New Season) 8 p.m., CBC In the season seven debut of this Toronto-shot reality show, a towel gets the Dragons all wrapped up, an all-natural practitioner gets a dose of reality, a coffee company needs a jolt to expand its business, and a new idea about water leaves our favourite team of fire-breathing Dragons thirsty for more.
Titanic: Blood and Steel (New Series) 9 p.m., CBC Just when you think they couldn’t wring anything more out of this maritime tragedy beyond a 3D version of James Cameron’s Oscar-winning film, along comes this new 12-part series chronicling the financing and building of the world’s largest unsinkable ocean liner. Neve Campbell (Party of Five) and Chris Noth (The Good Wife) co-star in this epic series from the creative team behind Camelot and The Tudors.
Big Brother (Season Finale) 9:30 p.m., Global & CBS A season that abounded with rumours of cheating and acts of physical violence finally comes to an end with tonight’s 90-minute finale in which one of these worthless fame-seekers will be crowned the season’s winner and receive a half-million-dollar cash prize.
