The details: This open concept cabin gives guests the ultimate indoor-outdoor living experience. With its colourful and modern interior design, space-maximizing layout and handy amenities, you’re sure to enjoy your stay. The open living space features a queen-sized bed on a sleeping loft, with a lounging bench next to it. There is a half-bathroom (toilet and sink) indoors and a hot shower and bathtub outdoors. The kitchenette is fully equipped with all the necessities—a single induction element cooktop, condiments, coffee and tea. What’s more, you can also purchase a “Pantry Upgrade,” which includes a seasonal selection of produce from local farmers. Get a curated bunch of goods to have at your stay, or to take home afterwards. Enjoy the fresh scent of wet leaves from the surrounding trees on the spacious deck with easy chairs, a picnic table and fire pit.

This space is situated on an 11.4-acre forested property with a private road connecting directly to a selection of hiking trails. If you prefer more relaxing activities, there is also a Par 3 golf course across the road at Langdale Heights.

The details: This rustic loft-style stay provides plenty of space for a cozy getaway with your partner or close friend. Everything about the space screams pumpkin spice latte and wool mittens—from the cedar skin siding, to the raw edge wood kitchen counter and the large windows overlooking the forests outside. Too much wood? Never. The exterior of the cabin is also constructed entirely of wood (except the windows, of course).

The sleeping area in this space is up on the loft, and features a queen-sized mattress with a feather duvet. An indoor electric fireplace also makes for the perfect spot to cozy up with your loved ones. There is also an outdoor gas BBQ grill on the levitated porch. Imagine enjoying a fresh-off-the-grill smokie sausage in the forest while it’s 10 degrees outside…bliss.

3. The Nature Treehouse

Location: Belcarra, British Columbia

The details: This spot is a bit different from our usual recommendations, but we couldn’t miss the opportunity to share it because of the stay’s immaculate cozy vibes. With it being a literal treehouse, this Airbnb features a single sofa bed and an indoor hammock in the living space. You’ll find fairy lights decorated along the ceiling, giving the space a whimsical feel. What’s worth mentioning is the amazing view this treehouse offers with its height. Although this stay may not provide a plethora of amenities, it does offer a mini fridge with Brita filtered water, a kettle and a propane portable heater. There are only portable toilets available on site, but you will have access to outdoor soaking tubs and an outdoor shower.

You’ll find all the essentials for a short but sweet stay in Belcarra—especially with that view! Picture yourself reading in the hammock as the sun rises, or sipping a glass of wine as the sun sets. Revel in the forest’s tranquility from the comfort of the treehouse. Or, if you’re in an adventurous mood, head over to the trails at Buntzen Lake or Belcarra Park.
