Video Synopsis

With only a short trip from the city you can leave behind the rat race and enter the world of the bald eagle.

From mid-November to February, thousands of bald eagles feast on dying chum salmon on the banks of the Squamish and Cheakamus rivers.

Lara and her family gather up their friends for a raft down the river with the Sunwolf Outdoor Centre and end the day with a BBQ in the woods to watch these majestic birds as they warm their hot chocolate and burn their hotdogs.

Lara is the co-founder of Randomlink Interactive Inc. She is equally at home in front of the camera and on the road. As a child, she acted in a weekly television series, and regularly accompanied her tour host/organizer mother on international travels. Travel is in her blood, and Hit the Road builds on her previous travels with her daughter Zoe – including three months they spent travelling together across Africa when Zoe was six years old.
