It's here! West Elm finally opens its first store in Vancouver and gets a very warm welcome from the locals
West Elm landed in Vancouver with a preview party that gave Vancouverites a sneak peek into its trademark sophisticate-yet-accessible home furnishings and décor.
This is its second store in Canada (first one in Toronto) and should now save a lot of us that cross-border trip down south to get our hands on its lovely wares. West Elm will fit snugly into Vancouver’s design and décor scene, focusing on neutrals and natural materials, with accents of colours and beautifully curated original pieces.
Like other West Elm stores, the Vancouver location has been designed using green materials including low-energy lighting, low-VOC paints and reclaimed fixtures. West Elm is located in South Granville (2947 Granville Street), nestled amongst its sister stores Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids.
A good crowd came out to take a closer look at West Elm’s diverse mix of furniture, home décor, and gifts
West Elm’s base of neutrals is kept contemporary with new colourful collections and artist collaborations that are updated seasonally
West Elm knows how to throw a party. There’s nothing like shopping with a cocktail in hand…
Bedding’s already one of the most popular items selling in Vancouver, with the slate colour being top choice
Slate may be popular, but some of us prefer more colourful options. Love this pretty yellow print!
West Elm is the first major retailer in Vancouver to collaborate with Etsy. This store will offer a collection of decorative accessories and art made by Vancouver-area artists Heather Dahl, Grace Lee, Justina Yang and Nadine Boyd
This could be the poshest setting ever for a DJ. Music kept the energy upbeat and the crowds in a great mood all night… just in case looking at pretty things for hours alone wasn’t enough
The new Mix and Match Dining collection offers three table top options and four table bases in a full spectrum of materials, allowing customers to create the perfect table – from antiqued industrial to modern farmhouse style
Come in and work with the West Elm team on space planning and customized design projects using the tools available at the store’s Design Lab, or in your home – all free of charge
The Fall collection includes handmade crafts and one-of-a-kind discoveries collected during recent visits to Cape Town and Johannesburg that showcase the rich colour palette and varied design influences of South Africa
Perfectly on-trend, there are plenty of little owls tucked around the store. Some fluffy, some shiny, all deliciously cute and ready for gift-giving
West Elm is a treasure trove of all things design-worthy for the house, including a lovely, nostalgic collection of tea towels – pretty AND practical, the perfect combination
Small home? No problem. Many of West Elm’s furniture pieces and decorative accessories are designed to suit small, urban spaces. You’ll find a massive range of products that will help you express your personal style at home
West Elm graciously gave opening party guests a 10% discount and the cashiers were kept busy all night as guests quickly traded in their cocktails for other goodies
