Make yours a charmed boudoir with local lingerie line Love Made Me.
Vancouver designer Tiffany Ho is no newbie to the lingerie scene; she was half the creative mind behind Third Floor Design, a lingerie label known for comfort and fun. Tiffany took over the company in 2009, and after a season of brainstorming lingerie-filled castles in the sky, she is now unveiling her soft-and-sexy new line Love Made Me.
Described as “feminine silhouettes with boyish charm,” Love Made Me is perfect for women who like to be flirty and fun but also value comfort. The label is named so because love made Tiffany stick to her guns.
Working from Woven Studios, which she shares with a handful of other talented local designers, Tiffany puts a lot of heart and thought into each piece “to ensure that the wearer feels beautiful and confident,” and she’s thankful that she can do what she loves, every day.
Love Made Me will be showcasing its spring/summer collection at The Heart-On on February 6, “a celebration of what we do for what we love,” with a great line-up of local artists and live performances.
Tiffany uses a wide range of soft fabrics, including rayon of bamboo, jersey knits, cottons, silks, brocades, jaquards, lace and performance. Nothing organic yet though.
As the driving force of a locally designed and manufactured brand, Tiffany voices the importance of buying local: “There is a growing number of consumers who want to invest in high-quality, well-designed products that are ethically produced. Vancouver has a plethora of talented designers who not only have found success locally, but also compete globally.”
Besides, she says, “The question isn’t why should we buy local, but rather, why shouldn’t we?”
Love Made Me’s spring/summer 2010 line is inspired from what makes women feel sexy, highlighting parts that women feel most comfortable with.
The Megs Romper is a ruffled, coquettish piece that can highlight great legs, shoulders and the back.
The Lily Bra and Mylo Bikini are perfect for a flirty romp indoors.
Want something darker and more seductive for the boudoir? The Cathy Top and Lacy Johns are a perfect pair-up.
Tiffany promises that her fall/winter 2010 line will be full of plunging backs, richer colours and more lace! I can’t wait!
