Vancouver fashion designer strikes the perfect balance between style and substance.
Nicole Bridge wins Fashion Takes Action Designer of the Year Award
Congratulations to Vancouver’s Nicole Bridger, whose unflagging commitment to using natural and renewable fabrics in her designs has won her the inaugural Design Forward Award from Fashion Takes Action, edging out nearly 40 of her peers in the quest to be Canada’s top ecofashion designer.
Bridger’s signature style is a seamless melding of softly feminine sihouettes, breezy sophistication and sensational texture—all enhanced by a conscientiously lightened carbon footprint. The locally manufactured pieces are made from soy jersey, linen jersey, organic cotton jersey and linen.
Check out her beautiful spring/summer 2010 collection and read why bcliving gave this talented designer our nod.
As part of the $50,000 prize, Bridger will be boosting Vancouver’s fashion profile on the world stage this September when she exhibits her collection at the Nolcha Fashion Week in New York. I’m sure she’ll do us proud!
And there’s more good news! Here’s a great opportunity for you to experience Nicole Bridger’s award-winning style:
