Isabel Marant Designs a Collection Exclusively for H&M

Launching in November, Isabel Marant Pour H&M is a line that exudes cool Parisian style

Hitting over 250 stores worldwide on November 14th, you’ll want to be one of the first to snatch a piece from the Isabel Marant Pour H&M collection. As one of seven selected Canadian locations, Vancouver’s Pacific Centre store will open at 8am for the official launch.

Full of bulky sweaters, printed pieces and leather pants, you’re sure to fall in love with more than one item. And with a collection of unique jewelry, silky scarves and shoes to complete any outfit, you may wish to dress head to toe in these Parisian style pieces.

T-shirt and Tank

There’s nothing boring about the tops Marant has designed. The pieces have a simple shape, and along with basic white, Marant has created tops in a variety of fun fabrics that you’re sure to love. The collection’s T-shirts have a loose fit, allowing them to sit slightly away from the body. The cuffed sleeves add a little detail to an otherwise basic piece. Add a long necklace and bold earrings for a classy look.

This tank (above right) is complete with metallic fabric, making it the perfect top for drinks at your local bar. Marant has added a touch of detail on the back, which makes your torso look long and slim.

Bulky Sweaters

To keep you warm this season, Marant has reinvented the “ugly” sweater and created pieces that are suitable for weekly shopping outings or wine tastings with your girlfriends. This multi-coloured sweater (above left) has hues of deep red, burgundy and a hint of cream to give it a warm fall feeling. Add a statement necklace to this sweater to really jazz it up for a night out.
If you want a sweater with some character, this fluffy one (above right) is sure to fulfil your desires. The black and white hues make the knitted details pop, meaning this sweater is the perfect match to Marant’s leather pants.

Jackets

This collection is full of great jackets that will add personality to any of your outfits. The best way to dress up a T-shirt-and-jeans combo is with a jacket that has defined structure and texture.
This metallic jacket (above left) takes a cue from the ’90s with its short, boxy shape. Pair this piece with the collection’s black leather pants and one of the many T-shirts or tanks for an outfit that’s fit for almost any occasion.
This black blazer (above right) is a classic piece with a silk collar and tie to differentiate it from the traditional boyfriend blazer. You can pair this blazer with anything from maxi skirts to skinny jeans for a look that works for the office or a dinner date.

Boxy Coats

Invest in a classic coat with a twist this season by choosing one of the collection’s felt coats. Marant has designed these pieces with a boxy shape, giving them an edge despite their simple shades.
This double-breasted black coat (above left) has an oversized collar and angled pocket detailing to keep you warm and stylish.
Taking its inspiration from men’s style, this grey coat (above right) has a breast pocket and small black buttons to showcase its masculine feel.

Bold Pants

The Isabel Marant Pour H&M collection is far from lacking in statement pants. From tight leather skinnies to patterned jeans, you’re sure to stand out in these bottoms.
These leather skinnies (above left) fit tight to the body, but are cropped, ending above your ankle. They’re quite the statement piece, and can be played up with a bold patterned top or toned down with a cream tee.
There’s no better way to display your curves than in these bold patterned jeans (above right). Yes, you can pair pattern with pattern, so choose one of Marant’s black and white patterned blouses for an edgy out-on-the-town outfit.

Skirts

The collection features a few unique skirts. Shorter flowy pieces with gathered details dominate the skirt styles Marant has designed.
Perfect for a night out or those fast-approaching holiday parties, all this metallic skirt (above left) needs is one of the collection’s lace tops and the heeled booties to complete the look.
This longer skirt (above right) adds a twist to the classic pencil skirt with the gathering at the front. And with a subtle pattern that has both orange and blue, this piece works great for the office.

Same Pattern, Different Style

Marant has used favourite fabrics for several different pieces. Whether for a skirt, a blouse or a dress, the designer saw endless potential in a few fabrics.
Marant has created an elegant dress (above left) with this black and white fabric. The billowy sleeves showcase the fabric in a unique way, while the drawstring waist allows you to show off your shape.
Using the same fabric, Marant created what look to be the most comfortable trousers (above right). Despite the flowy fabric, these trousers remain slim, while not clinging to your body. Pair them with bright heels and a solid coloured top to showcase the fabric.

Accessories

This new H&M collection is full of various accessories to complete your outfit. Silky scarves, chain-link belts and a couple pairs of shoes allow you to dress head-to-toe in Isabel Marant.
With an added fringe detail on the side, these kitten-heeled boots (above left) pair perfectly with a dress or any of the collection’s pant styles.
Add some class to your wrist with this large metallic cuff (above right), supplying your daily dosage of bling.

Men’s Line

Marant was sure to include men in her H&M collection. The line is full of bulky sweaters, basic tops and suede boots. As seen above, the line includes a variety of pants, from leather to those with a detailed side seam.

The whole family can appreciate Marant’s style with the designer’s inclusion of a children’s line. These pieces have the durability needed for a rambunctious child, but include details and graphics that let kids express their personal style.
