Q: We are having problems managing morning glory. We have a large back yard that is surrounded by trees and morning glory is choking out roses, etc. Is there anything significant regarding soil ph or anything beyond ‘staying on top’ of it that we can/should do?
Soil pH has nothing to do with morning glory tenacity. I would suggest continually pulling and mulching. Watch outside sources, as well, to reduce morning glory’s root system, i.e. your neighbour’s garden. Once morning glory roots are isolated from an outside source, then eventually you will be able to control this beast.
