The skinny: Nine-bedroom, six-bathroom, 8,231-square-feet ranch on South Cariboo’s Gold Rush Trail
The chic:
Saddle up to make your cowboy dreams come true! Imagine this–your daily routine consists of galloping around the fields on your horse while your family herds the cattle.
This ranch feels custom made for an outdoor enthusiast, offering up a beautiful view of Marble Mountain and Meadow Lake. The 695-acre lot houses four log and timber homes and one cabin. Head onto the property to find unique aspects in each of the homes, all suited for outdoor exploring!
The main ranch house includes a garage, barn with a loft and log carport. The exterior of the home is reminiscent of a cabin, with exposed logs and a red triangle roof. Head inside to find a streamlined interior space, dressed with exposed beams throughout the walls, and wooden materials on the furniture.
The interior of the home is everything you’d expect from a farmlife escape. A cast iron fireplace comfortably sits in the corner of the living room, right up against a stone accent wall. The large kitchen features a retro-style stovetop, adding a punch to the otherwise mainly wooden space.
Head up the curved wooden staircase to find the bedrooms and game room, complete with a pool table and foosball machine.
The pre-Gold Rush Era Roundhouse is just steps away, with its own fully fenced yard with turnout. The interior of the home features a similar aesthetic as the main ranch house, with exposed wooden beams along the walls and ceiling. The kitchen space features deep teal coloured cabinets, adding a fun twist to the otherwise country vibe.
Stay at the caretaker’s house for a two-storey cabin experience. Cozy up here by the cast iron fireplace as you gaze out the window into the starry night. The second floor features a spacious ensuite balcony, where you can sip your hot cocoa as you gaze out at the prairie.
Besides the main homes, this ranch also offers a close by outbuilding. The hunter’s cabin is a one-bedroom suite with a large commercial grade shop. It has everything you can wish for in a standalone cabin–a portable gas stove, a bunk bed, a double bed, a dining space and a covered porch. You can also expect to find 3 barns nearby with hay lofts and stalls that can fit 20 horses. This area is fully fenced for security, a great option for a private extended family escape or corporate events!
