1. Market Collective

Market Collective, three unique boutique shops owned by three women that stand as a reminder that supporting local and handmade is good for all!  Each store connects you with hundreds of talented B.C. artisans, designers, makers and food producers. Just a couple of mentions: Parksville’s Frank Armich artistic sculptures, such as decorative mystical trees, wall mirrors, wall sculpture, bowls will wow you, while Fort Langley’s clay artist Elaine Brewer-White’s captivating and whimsical sculptures are sure to put a smile of your face.

2. Beach Grove Café & Boutique

Stepping into Tsawwassen’s Beach Grove Café & Boutique is truly an experience for all five senses and definitely worth the trip. With a fabulous offering of farmhouse-inspired décor inspiration, it’s easy to become obsessed.  Owned and operated by mother/daughter duo, Shawn and Madison, the shop features more than 25 B.C. vendors, including Salt Spring Island’s Cedar Mountain Studios, who create artwork tiles and blocks with sentimental sayings/quotes, Steveston’s Meadowfoam Candles (their signature scent Juniper Balsam is in the Four Seasons Hotel), and whiskey glass candles by Abbotsford’s Auratae. In keeping with family, the matriarch Helene (Shawn’s mom) handcrafts stunning wreaths and floral arrangements.

3. Granville Island Treasures

Granville Island Treasures Established in 1992, this all female-owned family business is committed to celebrating the talent of Canadian designers, makers, and labels. Whenever possible, they search for handmade and small batch production over mass produced items. Located on Granville Island, they carry a thoughtfully curated collection of  all things nautical and ocean-inspired for the home  – hence its love for Lake Cowichan’s Sarah Pringle’s artwork and Pitt Meadows’ Sehrish Drubetsky’s masterfully done resin art.

4. Fresh From the Coast

Fresh From the Coast: On your next visit to the the laid back coastal town of Sechelt, check out the equally charming Fresh from the Coast. Proudly showcasing 100% Sunshine Coast makers and artisans, this shop encapsulates Joie de Vivre in every nook and cranny. Whether you are searching for a “unique” vase, sea strings or driftwood mirror, look out living room, they have you covered!

5. PURE Design Shoppe

Nestled in North Vancouver’s bustling Shipyards District, PURE Design Shoppe is more than just a great boutique, it’s an inspirational, whimsical and eclectic movement. Linger awhile and unearth gorgeous artisan treasures, like Vancouver’s visual artist Klee Larsen’s mixed media artwork to adorn your walls, or North Shore’s Carol Demers’ mesmerizing clay and paint creations, which are an ode to her love of our West Coast’s temperate rainforests and rocky shores.

6. Lattimer Gallery

Vancouver’s Lattimer Gallery boasts an impressive collection of local Indigenous artwork.  Inspired by the Northeast Longhouse, this gallery boast the art work of established and emerging local artists.  Bring the power and beauty of Ts’msyen artist,  Northwest Coast Morgan Asoyuf’s serve ware or should I say works of art in bronze, metal and stone. two 12″ circular panels (Wolf and Salmon) are from Coast Salish carver Doug Horne of Victoria cedar carvings infuse transformational art with Indigenous pride.

7. Tosh Home & Garden

If you’re a fan of throw pillows, Bowen Island’s Tosh Home & Garden features beautiful handmade throw pillows for every room of your home, which are reproductions of Bowen Island artist Marie Neys’ original paintings.
