1. Reflections – The Garden Terrace

Reflections: The Garden Terrace is a seasonal courtyard patio located in the historic Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Since 2011, Reflections has been a warm-weather favourite for locals looking for an urban but luxurious hidden gem in the middle of downtown. No need to be a hotel guest to wine and dine here—if you’re in the know about this hidden patio, you can easily make your way up to the fourth floor courtyard through the hotel. 

2. Dalina

In the Chinatown neighbourhood, it’s rare to have a fully licensed and covered patio that’s open year-round. String lights give DALINA a garden party vibe, a whimsical setting for enjoying Italian coffee in the day, or a glass of wine at night. Inside the eatery, there’s a colourful array of salads and fresh-made sandwiches, and even a small grocery store which stocks local brands.

3. H Tasting Lounge

Located at The Westin Bayshore in Coal Harbour, H Tasting Lounge has a dazzling 1,765-square-foot space with plush lounge seating and a stylish fireplace that runs the length of the seaside patio. The patio offers breathtaking views of the harbour and North Shore Mountains with direct access to the Vancouver seawall. Drink curated cocktails, complemented by locally sourced tasting plates, while enjoying Vancouver’s long summer nights.

4. The Keg in Yaletown

Located in the heart of Yaletown at the corner of Mainland and Nelson, the top floor patio at The Keg overlooks one of Vancouver’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Especially in the evenings when Yaletown’s vibrant dining scene comes to life, be above it all and watch the evening unfold. 5. The Arbour

At the back of Main Street vegetarian eatery The Arbour, there’s a homey outdoor patio that makes you feel like you’re dining in someone’s backyard. Snack on plant-based comfort dishes—like pulled jackfruit steamed buns or a southern fried artichoke sandwich—while hiding out in this Mount Pleasant hidden gem of a patio. 

6. Mahony & Sons at Stamps Landing

Located right on the water at False Creek between the Granville and Cambie Street bridges, the triangular patio at modern Irish bar Mahony’s (Stamps Landing location) juts right out onto the water, steps away the Aquabus ferry dock. When you’re done dinner, stop downstairs at Uno Gelato for a cool treat while taking a sunset stroll around the Seawall.

7. Cactus Club at English Bay

Vancouver casual fine-dining chain Cactus Club is known to situate themselves at fantastic locations with a view—but the view from their English Bay location might be their best of all. The West-facing beachfront patio looks right onto the Pacific Ocean, and if you’re lucky enough to get a seat at sunset, you’ll be treated to a stunning golden-hour view.

8. Tap & Barrel in Olympic Village

As one of the first major restaurants to open in this area, Tap & Barrel is an Olympic Village staple with two areas for outdoor patio seating. You can dine outdoors on the ground floor, or on their second floor patio that overlooks False Creek. On summer evenings, there’s typically a lineup to get a table on the patio, but because of its size, the queue usually moves quickly.
