Hockey fans at Rogers Arena will be treated to a new-and-improved food and beverage experience when the Vancouver Canucks hit the ice in October.
The beer will taste better thanks to a brand new state-of-the-art distribution system. Reimagined beverage options in the concourse areas will include a fresh tap wine system and signature cocktails created by renowned director of wine and beverage Jay Jones.
Then there’s the food. New executive chef Robert Bartley will serve up over 180 new menu items this fall. The emphasis is on locally sourced food – prepared fresh and served fast.

Chef Robert Bartley says the food and beverage overhaul at Rogers Arena starts with the basics – like a good hot dog.
Arena staff taste-tested 10 different hot dog varieties from across North America to find the very best wiener. Two new hot dog stands called Steamer’s feature the likeness of former Canucks captain Stan Smyl, and 12 different hot dog varieties to pay tribute to his uniform number.
The Glendon Perogy Dog is named after Smyl’s hometown of Glendon, Alberta. It’s topped with small potato and cheese perogies, sauerkraut, onions, sour cream and chives.
For Steamers’ veggie dogs, Bartley has built a creative and delicious vegetarian option. A fresh-baked bun is filled with edamame and chickpeas, then topped with a crunchy julienne of 12 fresh vegetables and finished with spicy mayonnaise.
The Flora Dog is a light, fresh choice for fans looking for a healthier alternative than typical arena fare.
