The Feast of Fields open-air, wandering buffet has all the elements for the perfect adult summer party.
Sample local, gourmet foods at Feast of Fields.
Feast of Fields has all the elements for the perfect adult summer party—gourmet food, wine, beer and glorious open fields. It is an open-air, wandering buffet; a sensory orgasm. It is delicious.
On Sunday, August 29 from 1–5 p.m., some 700 guests will relish in the waning summer sun over sips of bubbly and morsels of local bounty. BC’s top chefs, food artisans, vintners, brewers and related aficionados will host an adult version of Iron Chef meets Alice’s tea party, trading Wonderland for Wellbrook Winery at Bremner Farm in Delta and competition amongst chefs for genuinely tasteful camaraderie.
The 16th annual Feast of Fields event will celebrate local foods and culinary arts, highlighting the ease with which we should be enjoying a local, sustainable and fresh diet year-round. This year’s theme, ‘A Taste of History,’ will emphasize the longstanding relationships between local farmers and chefs and showcase second-generation farm production. Read more about the event at Michael’s Sustenance blog.
