7 Wellness Gadgets to Keep Your Goals on Track

Start the year right with these gadgets to boost both physical and mental health

Remember the wellness goals you had at the beginning of the year? If you’re looking for something to hold you accountable, look no further. These recommendations include tools designed to support your overall wellbeing—including fitness, mindfulness and sleep. Read on for my top picks.

1. Brick

Brick

Practice focus and mindfulness with the Brick ($83). This physical device locks apps and creates real friction to unlock apps, leaving you motivated to focus on what’s important. Simply download the Brick app, select which apps you’d like to lock and tap the Brick. Your selected apps will be locked until you tap the Brick again. Pro tip: Hide your Brick to create more obstacles against losing concentration on the task at hand.

2. Oura Ring

Oura

If you’re up-to-date with popular wellness devices, you’ve probably heard of the Oura Ring. While this gadget is known for tracking menstrual cycles as a form of non-hormonal birth control, it does much more than that. The newest model, Oura Ring 4, features sensors that track sleep, activity, stress-levels and offers a unique “readiness” reading. The ring’s battery can last between five and eight days, making it a seamless everyday accessory. If you are looking for an alternative to a fitness watch, the Oura Ring would be a great option. Prices for the Oura Ring 4 start at $469, with a $7.99/month or $89.99/year membership.

3. Hatch Restore 3 Clock

Hatch

Tired of waking up to jarring alarm tones from your phone, or having issues with snoozing? No problem. This alarm clock and night light two-in-one device helps you unwind and wake up naturally using customizable lighting and soothing audio tracks. The Hatch Restore 3 Clock’s ($230) lighting simulates the sunrise, and the science-based audio supports your body’s natural circadian rhythm. Download the app for a selection of podcasts, soft sounds and meditations to play directly from the clock. Say goodbye to being jolted awake by your phone.

4. Theragun Mini Plus

Therabody

Relax your muscles after a tough workout with this portable, small-but-mighty massage gun. The Theragun Mini Plus ($350) heats up and is meant to ease soreness, speed up recovery and improve mobility for better performance. The size is perfect for your gym bag or putting it in your luggage for travelling gym regulars.

5. My Obi Apollo 2.0

My Obi

For all my ladies with atrocious period cramps—this wearable device may be a lifesaver. It is basically a wearable heated water bottle, but better. The device combines heat, red light therapy and TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) technology to help ease the pain during shark week. TENS therapy sends mild electrical currents through the skin to temporarily relieve pain by blocking pain signals or triggering endorphin release. Apollo 2.0 ($219) is fully customizable, with 16 TENS intensity levels and three warmth adjustment levels to choose from. A huge plus about this device is that you can easily cover it up in public with a baggier top. Talk about seamless.

6. CurrentBody Skin LED Red Light Therapy Mask

CurrentBody Skin

This one is for the skincare lovers. I’m sure most of you have heard of red light therapy. It is meant to reverse signs of aging and make skin plumper by boosting collagen production in the skin. The CurrentBody Skin LED Red Light Therapy Mask ($639.99) has a flexible silicone shape to ensure it sits right against your skin. The mask offers three precise wavelengths: red (633nm), near-infrared (830nm) and deep near-infrared (1072nm). Be sure to use the mask consistently for best results, and welcome refreshed glowy skin.

7. FitSleeps

FitSleeps

If you are a heavy sleeper who always presses snooze, the FitSleeps’ on-wrist alarm ($111) is sure to change your habits for the new year. Simply put the wrist strap on before bed, set up to five alarms, and head to dreamland. The strap will use a silent, consistent and increasingly intense vibration to wake you. No more sleeping through alarms in 2026.
