Chinese Restaurant Awards Reveal Top Dishes in Town

The Chinese Restaurant Awards celebrate a decade of Chinese cuisine and culture

There’s no denying that Vancouver boasts a wide variety of incredible Chinese cuisine. In fact, during the 2010 Winter Olympics Games, Conde Nast Traveller quoted local Chinese food critic Stephanie Yuen, saying, “Vancouver is home to the best Chinese food in the world. Period.”

Each year, the Chinese Restaurant Awards showcase the best Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine available in Greater Vancouver. From small-scale eateries to legacy establishments, the Chinese Restaurant Awards have chronicled how the local food scene has evolved and expanded. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Chinese Restaurant Awards, and a decade of honouring Chinese and Taiwanese culinary heritage.

On Tuesday, April 17th, the 2018 Chinese Restaurant Awards ceremony was held at the River Rock Show Theatre. Over 250 restaurateurs, industry leaders, partners and members of the media gathered to celebrate the 10th anniversary.
