Everything Wine bills itself as the province’s “premier destination for fine wine, accessories and education.” The company’s three locations offer daily tastings, a varied and extensive inventory of the nectar of the Gods along with a lengthy list of Reidel stemware and other accessories. If it’s easier to phone in an order, delivery is complimentary on orders over $200 and customers purchasing a full case receive a five per cent discount off the top. Frequently lauded as one of Vancouver’s best liquor stores, Darby’s is a Kitsilano institution—but they will gladly head to your neck of the woods for deliveries as well. Based in Surrey, “Dan the Delivery Man” has been handling various delivery requests since 2013. A $12 charge will cover most deliveries, though the final bill can increase with lengthy distances or a number of collection stops. Like most such services, Dan requires two pieces of identification for liquor deliveries.

Liquor Valet sets itself apart by offering customers three delivery options: rush orders for under an hour (depending on traffic and order size), same-day service (for those on a more relaxed calendar) or scheduled service (which generally comes at a cost of $10). Rush and same-day orders may incur extra charges and delivery times are confined to a more office-like schedule with operating hours stretching from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Cheers Vancouver declares, “We bring the party to your door!” They will do just that—until 11 p.m. nightly Monday through Saturday. (Sunday sees a much earlier deadline.) A basic charge of $10 will secure smaller orders, with the coverage area stretching from Vancouver over the bridge to North or West Vancouver and out east to Burnaby and New Westminster. Expansion plans are in the works for other areas of the Lower Mainland.
