Gritty, wavy and effortlessly cool: is there any summer look more iconic than the beach wave?

We couldn’t get enough of the volume and texture featured on the summer cover of Simply Beautiful Living magazine, so we asked AG Hair’s styling experts to share their pro tips for recreating the timeless style at home.

Step 1

Start by washing and conditioning hair with AG’s Cleansing Cream—it’s a foam-free hair wash that will layer anti-aging seaberry oil and natural seaweed extracts to strengthen hair and enhance natural texture, priming a strong foundation for your styling.

Step 2

Towel dry your hair, then apply one or two pumps of AG’s Beach Bomb. Infused with keratin protein and silk amino acids (and a delicious light coconut verbena scent), it conditions while creating some serious texture.

Step 3

Now spritz AG’s Sea Spray throughout your damp hair to desired texture and grit. While many other sea sprays include salt, AG’s spray uses sea-based potassium chloride to add beachy grit without drying out your hair.

Step 4

Air dry or blow dry hair, then twist random half-inch strands around a wand or curling iron to add in some piecey waves. Or, if you’re not in a rush, you can braid hair into pigtails or French braids and leave overnight for even wavier texture. Either way, spritz once more when done with Sea Spray for added texture and hold.

STEP 5

Hit the beach, the town, or even just your back patio—this look is bringing “best summer ever” vibes wherever it goes.
