Looking for a good seed swap here in BC? Check out this listing of Seedy Saturday events around the province
A good time was had at last year’s Seedy Saturday in Roberts Creek. As with most of the Seedy Saturdays around BC, each new year finds it bigger and better
There’s nothing worse (in this gardener’s opinion) than finding out about a local Seedy Saturday only after it’s come and gone.
That’s why I’ll be checking this directory and also keeping a sharp eye on events listings where I live.
Personally, I find few events are more heart-lifting than a good seed swap, which usually also includes potted plants, winter-garden produce, even homemade garden goodies among the many offerings. And for free: fabulous garden advice from the very gardeners themselves who have grown the seed and other items for trade and sale.
Plan to wear your frumpiest garden duds and show up for a super-casual coming together of gardeners and good grub when you see a Seedy Saturday coming your way this spring!
