Need an egg asap to finish that muffin recipe? Forgot to grab groceries and it's nearly dinnertime? Completely run out of toothpaste? Tiggy can help
The Vancouver area now has an ultrafast grocery delivery app that can get you the goods within 15 minutes—yes, 15 minutes. We recently tried the service and can assure you that our order arrived in 12 minutes and was full of super-fresh produce and other necessities. The app currently serves most of Vancouver, North Vancouver and will be adding Burnaby to its routes in April. Tiggy offers all your basic grocery needs, including produce, meat, seafood, baked goods, dairy and eggs, plus lifestyle and pharmacy items (even COVID rapid tests should you need them in a hurry).
“We’re thrilled to serve more Vancouverites to offer unsurpassed convenience and free, reliable 15-minute delivery to give them back time to do the things they love while also eliminating the need to bulk buy at the grocery store,” said Eugene Biskova, founder, Tiggy. “People are now ‘Tiggy-ing’ everyday to order just what they need, when they need it for breakfast, lunch and dinner which translates to less waste.”
So how does it work? Tiggy operates six micro fulfillment centres in Metro Vancouver (with plans to expand soon), and delivers to customers living within a two-mile radius of each centre. Tiggy’s full-time bicycle couriers deliver the orders, which helps to reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions. There is no delivery charge.
Tiggy is also committed to supporting B.C. brands, and currently offers Avalon organic ice cream, Happy Planet juices and smoothies, nut butters from Mumgry, fresh-baked breads from Uprising Breads, Two Rivers meat and more. Vancouver-made home and beauty products include Midnight Paloma and soy candles from Kliig Candle Co.
Although Tiggy promises a 15-minute delivery, traffic and inclement weather can delay orders up to 30 minutes. The service is available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
