This wedding season, Vancouver’s busiest wedding band picks 10 songs that guarantee a full floor

The Famous Players Band is Vancouver’s gold standard for live music at weddings and events. Over the years, they have performed at thousands of venues and, in that time, have come up with a list of sure-fire hits to keep the dance floor movin’ and groovin’ all night long.

1. "Fireball" — Pitbull ft. John Ryan

It’s an infectious mix: high energy, a Latin feel and an urban vibe. It’s even got some great opportunities for crowd participation in the breakdown, which is always a smart move.

It’s all in the title, but this peppy ’80s smash is a classic on the dance floor for a reason. Get ready for a really loud sing-a-long chorus!

 

7. "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" — Jackie Wilson

With a great hook and some awesome background vocals for the chorus, this Motown classic is a can’t-miss hit, each and every time. Add in a little easy-to-follow choreography and you’ve got a real party going with this one.

8. "Lido Shuffle" — Boz Scaggs

This hit really stands the test of time. It’s a shuffle, so it’s fun and easy for guests to dance many different styles to. And people young and old love to shout along to the chorus.

I know what you’re thinking. “Isn’t that a hard-core country tune?” It is… and everybody loves it.
