8 New Year’s Eve Events to Ring In 2026

Staying in may be tempting, but these events are worth going out to celebrate the ball drop

And just like that, 2025 has come to an end. Here are some events around Metro Vancouver to welcome in the New Year with refreshed, positive energy. Whether you’re spending time with your family or out with friends, there’s something here for everyone. Happy New Year!

1. Parq Casino

Parq Casino

Enjoy lively celebrations throughout the casino, including live music, party favours, cash prizes and festive drinks. There’s a DJ spinning on the second floor and duelling pianos on the third floor from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Party favours—including tiaras and bling—will be handed out ahead of the countdown. There are also four cash prize draws throughout the night, a great time to test your New Year’s luck.

2. Bow and Stern Brentwood

Bow and Stern Brentwood

Treat yourself and indulge in a New Year’s Eve special platter for two, which includes a choice of appetizer, lobster, tenderloin and dessert. Eating good on New Year’s Eve is a foolproof way—according to myself—of ensuring the New Year will be filled with luck and all good things. Brentwood will also be hosting a live DJ from 8 p.m. to midnight, so you’ll get a chance to enjoy live entertainment as everyone counts down to the New Year.

3. New Year’s at Noon

Museum of North Vancouver

Designed specifically for the kiddos, the Museum of North Vancouver is putting together a very legitimate New Year’s celebration that ends at 12…in the afternoon. The event features a ball drop, music and entertainment for the little ones. Enjoy a blend of learning and celebration, as well as some family fun. Who said the kids can’t enjoy New Year’s?

4. D6 Bar and Lounge

D6 Bar and Lounge

If you enjoy drama and flair, this one’s for you. This Vancouver bar is hosting a Roaring 20s-themed party—think flappers, sharp suits and smokey jazz. The night begins with a hidden speakeasy entrance with vintage decor, and the party inside mimics the lavish underground scene during the prohibition era. Say goodbye to 2025 with live swing music, cocktails and an energetic crowd. As we inch closer to midnight, the live jazz will transform into a high-octane DJ set in preparation to ring in the New Year.
Tickets from $78.40

5. Cirque NYE 2026 at Science World

Science World

This unique way of ushering in the New Year features three music rooms on two floors, Cirque performance artists, Vancouver’s top DJs and live performers and five fully licensed bars. Watch Science World take on a new look as a huge, sparkling party room. Get wowed by silk aerialists, contortionists, stilt walkers and jugglers at the venue as you wander across rooms with cocktails in-hand. There are great lights, excellent sound sets and displays across the venue to help ring in 2026 in the most entertaining way possible.
Tickets from $87.77

6. The Flying Pig

The Flying Pig

Take your family to The Flying Pig and enjoy their hearty, limited-time menu. Menu items include the Atlantic lobster chowder, grilled lamb chops and a surf and turf platter. If you visit after 8:30 p.m., you’ll be just in time for live entertainment by Vancouver artist Adam Woodall. Dance the night away to the live music, and enjoy a party favour to take home.

7. The Rio Theatre

The Rio Theatre

The Rio welcomes the New Year in style, offering live music, poetry, circus, comedy and burlesque at its NYE party. Talk about options! This is an All Star Variety Show and Dance Party, with shows starting at 9 p.m. and an open dance floor after to let loose. There’s no hurry to leave after ringing in 2026, since the dance floor with live music is open until 1 a.m. Happy dancing!
