Aritzia Warehouse Sale – September 3 to 7

The Aritzia Warehouse Sale has become one of the most highly anticipated events for fashionistas of all ages. The amazing deals, which includes 90 per cent off items from brands like TNA, Parklife and Wilfred, makes dealing with the big crowds and long lineups much easier. And if you can’t make it during the first couple of days of the sale, don’t fret, because new items are being added each day of the five-day sale. So if you like hot deals, and even hotter clothes, make your way down to the Vancouver Convention Centre and let the shopping begin!

Vancouver Zombie Walk – September 5

No, it’s not a nightmare or another Walking Dead spinoff. The Vancouver Zombie Walk is the city’s biggest flash mob, and it easily attracts the most horrifying outfits. Participating “zombies” gather in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery before staggering their way to English Bay. The gristly costumes are not for the faint of heart, and spirit of the event is as infectious as ever.

Pemberton Long Table Dinner – September 5

Hosted by Araxi, the longest longtable dinner takes place this weekend at North Arm Farm in Pemberton. The Pemberton Longtable Dinner takes “farm-to-table” to new heights by hosting the dinner in the stunning fields of North Arm Farm. Guests will enjoy a memorable four-course meal—prepared by executive chef James Walt—made up of fresh local produce, and they’ll even get the chance to meet the farmers and tour the surrounding fields.

Winter Crop Planting Workshop – September 6

Summer may be winding down, but you can enjoy fresh veggies all year round with help from the Coquitlam Farmers Market. The Winter Crop Planting Workshop will encourage even the brownest of thumbs to plant things like arugula, chives, beets, broad beans, cilantro and more. The class costs $10 to register, but after the event you’ll get a $10 token for the market to spend as you please.

Vancouver Fringe Festival – September 10 to 20

With over 80 different shows to experience and enjoy, there’s no better place than the Vancouver Fringe Festival to catch some great theatre. Whether it’s watching a silly parody of the former prime time drama The O.C., or gaining perspective on Canada’s mission in Afghanistan through the eyes of an ER doctor, an inflight medical technician and an ICU nurse in The Fighting Season, there’s something for everyone. Tickets for all performances can be found online.

Accordion Noir Festival – September 10 to 13

Forget everything you thought you knew about accordions and let the Accordion Noir Festival introduce you to the deliciously dark side of the instrument. This one-of-a-kind event celebrates “accordion for outliers,” and boasts a lineup of rocking and rollicking accordion players. The range of artists is diverse, with performers coming from across Canada, London and New York to share their talents.

Summer Wine Down – September 11

Fight off the end-of-summer blues with an evening to remember. The Sea to Sky Gondola’s Summer Wine Down Dinner is a four-course meal and wine pairing held at the Summit Lodge & Patio. The four-course meal crafted by executive chef Barb Foster, includes curried carrot ginger soup, pumpkin gnocchi and spiced pears. Music from the Sea to Sky Orchestra perfectly complements the delicious food and incredible vista.

Nordstrom BFF Event – September 11

Nordstrom’s BFF (Beauty + Fit + Frends) event will be your first chance to explore Vancouver’s newest shopping destination—and it’s a preview that you won’t want to miss. Proceeds from the event go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and Nordstrom has pledged a minimum donation of $5,000.

Top Drop Vancouver – September 10 and 11
