1. Hidden Wonders — Until March 28

Experience a speakeasy-style magic show in a secret Chinatown location for a limited time only as Shawn Farquhar’s Cabaret of Wonders returns to Vancouver for a special set of performances. Hidden behind a fake business facade, the 75-minute intimate magic entertainment experience features effects exclusively designed for the venue, as well as several that Shawn created to win the world championship, impress Ellen, and fool Vegas’s Penn & Teller on their hit television show Fool Us.

2. Couture Culture Fashion Exhibition — Saturday, March 7

Vancouver Fashion Designer Kiarash Tarikhi aspires to combine all facets of fashion, art, and philanthropy in order to raise awareness, support the many and varied fashion industry creatives and donate money to the Covenant House in Vancouver. Join designers, artists, choreographers, models, musicians, and brands united by their passion to raise awareness about slow fashion, fashion sustainability, and social responsibility. 3. HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series — Saturday, March 7 & Sunday, March 8

Dress up and cheer on your favourite team at the Vancouver leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. The 2020 Series will include 10 tournaments held around the world, in which 16 national sevens teams compete for World Series points at each round. Each Series stop has the 16 teams divided into four even pools based on previous rankings. Day one of each tournament consists of round-robin play within pools. Day two, the bottom two teams of each pool will contest for a 9th place finish, while the higher seeded teams will progress to the Cup competition and have the chance to win gold, silver or bronze medals.

4. Vancouver Tea Festival — Saturday, March 7 & Sunday, March 8

Learn all about tea from around the world, watch premium tea presentations, take part in tea tasting or join in a Japanese style tea ceremony at the Vancouver Tea Festival.

5. Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival — Saturday, March 7

Get a taste of local tipples with more than 50 craft breweries, cider houses and distilleries (admission includes all beverage samples). Fuel up with food from the Taps & Tacos Food Truck and Tornado Potato Food Truck and sit in the mingling/seating area setup inside the clubhouse.

6. I Heart Tulips — Saturday, March 7

Spring doesn’t officially begin until March 19, but it’s arriving early this year at Metropolis at Metrotown with the 2nd annual I Heart Tulips event. The largest one-day indoor tulip display in Canada. On Saturday, an awe-inspiring installation of 14,000 live tulips will be unveiled in Metropolis at Metrotown’s Grand Court. Arranged in multiple heart shapes, the multi-coloured tulips will be on display for one day only. Visitors to Burnaby’s famous shopping destination will have the opportunity to view the full display of tulips from all three levels of the mall, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. For the rest of the day, the tulips will be available for picking, at a cost of 8 stems for $5 or 20 stems for $10. Proceeds will go to Variety – the Children’s Charity, which has been providing direct help to B.C. children with special needs for more than 50 years.

7. Burdock & Co’s International Women’s Day Brunch — Sunday, March 8

Celebrate International Women’s Day, with brunch with one of Vancouver’s most well-known female chefs, Andrea Carlson. Chef Andrea will speak to each seating about how being a woman in business can be an exhilarating & empowering experience, and brunch includes a copy of her cookbook.

8. An Evening with Botanist — Wednesday, March 11

Botanist will host a celebratory 10-course evening of culinary artistry, under the direction of Botanist Executive Chef Hector Laguna, as part of the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s 10th anniversary celebration. The 10-course dining experience will explore the bounty of the Pacific Northwest while diners will indulge in a lineup of exclusive dishes that are making a one-night only appearance.

9. Paulée Grand Cru Dinner — Thursday, March 12

Oenophiles can dig deep into their personal cellars and savour the best of Bourgogne with fellow wine enthusiasts when Richmond restaurant-café-art-gallery Origo Club hosts a third instalment of its ultra-exclusive ‘Paulée’-inspired Grand Cru Burgundy Dinner Series. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., each guest will bring two bottles of Grand Cru Burgundy or Champagne or one magnum of either to be shared among their fellow connoisseurs and share in the spirit of generosity, conviviality and joie de vivre while enjoying a seven-course dinner prepared by Chef David Pan.

10. CelticFest Ceilidh — Friday, March 13

Celebrate CelticFest with a Ceilidh of music, dance and fun, featuring Blackthorn & Friends including: Annie Brown, Catherine Flynn, Kevin Fink, Lucas Ross, and dance caller extraordinaire Alison Moen. BCR Regiment Irish Pipes & Drums will be providing the music and the Eire Born Irish Dance Company and Shot of Scotch Vancouver Company will be performing and teaching dancing throughout the night, helped with a wee dram from the bar and food from Mama’s Fish and Chips truck.
