6. LunarFest at Oakridge Centre — Wednesday, February 7 to Friday, February 26

Celebrate the New Year and launch your own the Blessing in the Sky lantern this year at Oakridge Centre’s West Galleria and then head to the East Galleria to get a photo with the Perfect Year of the Dog art installation, which features 10 golden dogs.

7. UBC Yoga Rave — Thursday, February 8

8. Science of Cocktails — Thursday, February 8

Science World becomes Vancouver’s biggest cocktail lab when the city’s most talented bartenders and chefs showcase the science of cocktails, focusing on the chemistry, biology and physics behind making modern drinks. Tickets raise funds for Science World’s Class Field Trip Bursary Program and the event features an open bar from more than 25 bar stations, as well as 12 food stations.

9. Dead Talks — Friday, February 9
