Fashionistas with a social conscience need look no further than their closest Holt Renfrew this fall
Starting on October 8, Canadian luxury retailer Holt Renfrew will be selling bags designed by Gucci with a portion of sales being donated to support UNICEF’s “Schools for Africa” initiative.
The Gucci collaboration comes as part of the Holt Renfrew H Project, a project that works with designers like Armani, Paul Smith and Tory Burch to support charitable organizations.
Some of the past charities that have benefitted include the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Right To Play and seven others. UNICEF will be the 10th organization Holt Renfrew has worked with. UNICEF’s Schools for Africa initiative provides education to 21 million children in 13 countries across Africa.
The bags will retail at $2900 and for every bag sold, UNICEF will receive $500. The Gucci Bamboo Shopper tote will come in 20 different styles of limited edition bags.
Holt Renfrew stores across Canada will exclusively carry the bag, including Vancouver’s Pacific Centre. It’s the perfect opportunity to grab a unique accessory, support a great cause and prove that changing lives will never out of style.
