The Soirée gala raised $116,000 for Family Services of Greater Vancouver
On Thursday, October 27, Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) hosted The Soirée, presented by The McGrane-Pearson Endowment Fund, which raised $116,000 in proceeds. More than 200 dynamic influencers, business and community leaders, including FSGV’s CEO, Maria Howard joined together for the event at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver, B.C.
Back in person after a two-year period of virtual fundraising, the signature event took a cue from classic circus entertainment, featuring a delightful display of elevated carnival bites and roving performers. This year’s entertainment was provided by Bill Costin, a classical and jazz pianist and composer; Cookin’ With Brass, a horn-forward, seven-piece funk bank; and NZR Productions, an international circus company that specializes in awe-inspiring performances. To complete the evening, guests enjoyed a spectacular live auction and raffle.
Through generous donations and fundraisers The Soirée, FSGV is able to provide critical programs and services to individuals and families in vulnerable circumstances across Greater Vancouver.
