Undercover Boss (New Season)

The American version of this popular reality series returns for another season of following corporate bigwigs as they go to work in secret alongside their front-line staff. In the season premiere, CEO Mitchell Modell takes to the floor of one of his sporting-goods stores to experience the mundane horror of being a working stiff.

Warehouse 13
7 p.m. & 10 p.m., Showcase
Pete and Myka rush off to save their families from a bombardment of deadly artifacts. Meanwhile, during a visit to the Vatican in order to investigate Brother Adrian, Mrs. Frederic and Steve learn the startling news that Artie was unwittingly responsible for the recent chaos at the Warehouse.

T&T Supermarkets sends top-floor executive Tina Lee down to one of their groceries incognito in search of ways to attract more customers.

Malibu Country (New Series)
8:30 p.m., Citytv; 8:31 p.m., ABC
Reba is back in this new sitcom that will, if nothing else, appeal to fans of Reba. This time she plays Reba Gallagher, a newly divorced Nashville woman who relocates to California along with her teenaged kids and wise-cracking mother (Lily Tomlin) in order to jumpstart her stalled music career. Sara Rue (Less Than Perfect) also stars as Reba’s new next-door neighbour.

Fringe
9 p.m., Citytv & Fox
While the Fringe team responds to recent devastating events, a key member makes a pivotal and shocking move.

Hunted
10 p.m. & 2:05 a.m., HBO Canada
Still on the lookout for info about the secret dam contract, Sam joins the Turner family for a weekend retreat in the country, where she runs into a man from her past who may have been involved in the attempt on her life.
 

Saturday, Nov. 3

Russell Peters: The Green Card Tour Live From the 02 Arena
9 p.m., Comedy
We know that Canada loves him, but who knew Peters could pack in the Europeans the way he did for this 2011 concert, filmed over two sold-out nights at the mammoth London venue? Throughout the show, the comedian shares his insights on race, culture and a particularly eye-opening trip to India.

Bedlam
5 p.m., Space
A young man breaks into what used to be the Bedlam chapel to perform an occult ritual, but winds up enraging the restless spirit of a priest. Meawhile, Ellie experiences a vision that leads her to investigate an atrocity the priest uncovered before his death.

Celebrity Splatdown
6 p.m. & 10:30 p.m., YTV
In this special episode of the messy medieval obstacle course competition, the casts of tween comedies Mr. Young and Life With Boys arrive to do battle with the Defenders of Splatalot. Only one group of young thespians will emerge victorious, but both will be covered from head to toe in some kind of weird goop.

Obama Revealed: The Man, The President
6:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m., CNN
This 90-minute look at the current (and possibly future) commander-in-chief features an exclusive interview in which Obama discusses not only his policies, but personal issues such as the difficulties of raising a family while holding office. In the interest of not playing favourites, CNN will also air Romney Revealed at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., a profile of the other guy who might be headed to the Oval Office in January.

A Touch of Frost
9 p.m. & Midnight, Knowledge
Frost and his new partner (Robert Glenister of Hustle) are called to investigate after a woman’s body is found on the railroad tracks. Later, they tackle the case of a missing surgeon universally reviled by his co-workers.

Once Upon a Time
7 p.m., CTV; 8 p.m., ABC
In an attempt to get back to Storybrooke, Emma and Mary Margaret team up with Captain Hook to scale a beanstalk and steal a magical compass from a giant (Lost’s Jorge Garcia). Meanwhile, Emma’s run-in with a thief exposes a secret from her past.

Call the Midwife (Season Finale)
5 p.m., WTVS; 8 p.m., KCTS
An elderly nun’s reputation is placed in jeopardy after she’s accused of theft, while Chummy worries when her mother shows up to “inspect” her new boyfriend.

New Tricks (New Season)
8 p.m., Knowledge
After almost a decade with the UCOS, Jack Halford abruptly announces he’s quitting. Still reeling from the news, the team struggles to solve a case that took place in Whitehall more than 160 years earlier.

Boardwalk Empire
8 p.m. & 11:45 p.m., HBO Canada
Andrew Mullen (James Cromwell) considers Nucky’s generous offer while Billie makes a move from the stage to the silver screen. Elsewhere, Van Alden repays a debt.

The Good Wife
9 p.m., CBS; 10 p.m., Global
Alicia takes on the controversial case of a female military officer who was raped by an American contractor while serving in Afghanistan. Grizzled character actor Brian Dennehy and True Blood baddie Denis O’Hare guest star as two worthy courtroom adversaries.

Dexter

Debra gets to know a local crime writer who’s dug up some incriminating dirt on Hannah McKay, who’s become Dexter’s latest obsession. Meanwhile, Quinn receives an offer he tries to refuse, Batista is drawn to a new business venture and LaGuerta keeps digging into the Bay Harbor Butcher case.

The Mentalist
10 p.m., CTV & CBS
When a couple is kidnapped, Jane and the team find it may be a case of mistaken identity. Meanwhile, Jane continues his search for Lorelei.

Jane’s relationship with Henry suffers a blow when neither he nor the police believe her account of what happened at the Halloween party. Meanwhile, Gavin weighs a decision that could cost him the Drake.
