Entitled Saloon Singers, the third and final episode looks at the history of nightclub life in the U.S., from Harlem’s legendary Cotton Club through to the lounges of the Las Vegas Strip. Along the way Michael Feinstein meets Rose Marie (The Dick Van Dyke Show), a Vaudeville performer since she was a child who “opened” Vegas in 1949. In addition, he tickles the ivories of one of Liberace’s rhinestone-encrusted pianos during a tour of the late pianist’s now-closed Vegas museum.

Kyle Riabko: The Lead

5 p.m. & 10 p.m., Bravo!

This documentary looks at the burgeoning career of young Saskatchewan native Kyle Riabko, who was a touring blues musician at 12 and, by 19, had left the prairies to perform on Broadway in the controversial rock musical Spring Awakening.

5:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m., Speed

This special, broadcast from the Daytona International Speedway, is the kick-off for the 2012 NASCAR racing season, giving race fans the chance to see the sport’s finest professional drivers put the pedal to the metal.


The 43rd NAACP Image Awards

8 p.m., NBC

This special honours the outstanding achievements of people of colour in categories ranging from film and TV to music and literature. This year’s honourees include most of the cast of The Help, and directors for TV shows including Dexter  ,   Treme and Sons of Anarchy nominated for various awards. On the flip side, this may be the only awards show in history to feature Eddie Murphy competing against Vin Diesel in the “outstanding actor” category.


Fringe

9 p.m., Citytv & Fox

While the Fringe team investigates a mentally ill patient who appears to be connected to a series of murders, frightening clues and connections are uncovered that lead Olivia to some shocking revelations.


A Gifted Man

9 p.m., Global & CBS

Pop star Christina Milian guest stars as a spoiled singer suffering from the same strange symptoms experienced by another young girl at a different hospital, so both teams of doctors work together to find a connection.
