True Blood stars and soon-to-be parents Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin talk about their baby and the upcoming fifth season
Love interests on screen and off, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer
True Blood is back for Season 5 and we got a chance to chat with married and expecting stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin at the premiere.
We asked about Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill (Moyer) working together this season. Moyer says, “They’ve gotten themselves into a pretty dark situation and I think they decide that instead of fighting and being at each others’ throats, that they’ll get together and actually put their heads together.”
We asked about the appeal of the show. “I think people like having favorites,” he says. “And I think playing favorites against others, so there are big Joe fans, there are big Sam fans, so everybody has ideas of who they want it to be. So the more you give them, the more the chance there is of pleasing some of the people some of the time. I think Alan’s [Ball] very clever. It’s a funny, dark, twisted and amazing show. And it ticks a lot of boxes, I think.”
He talks about the new addition to his family. “It’s always amazing. I love my kids so much. And I think that the fact that Anna is pregnant just adds more crazy to the bundle of fun.”
Paquin talks about the show’s popularity. “Our crew is extraordinary. There is not one single person who does not give two thousand percent every single day. It’s an unbelievable show to be a part of. And I think maybe that shows up on screen. Plus, the stories are really sexy and bad ass and weird.”
True Blood premieres on HBO on June 10.
